Yes, you do need an itunes account to buy music from that site. I advise you to not download bearshare because will give you viral problems on your computer. Limewire is quite sketchy too. Although, if you own a Mac computer then downloading either Bearshare or Limewire should not be a problem for you. Music from itunes is much greater quality on 100% of it's products.
