What you describe isn't normal. If you feel the need to pee even when you don't have to, if you experience discomfort when you pee, see blood in your urine, and/or pee more frequently then it may be a sign of a urinary tract infection - during menstruation these can be more common if you use commercial menstrual pads such as Always or Kotex as these allow bacterial growth and chemicals in these pads can cause urethral irritation. If symptoms worsen you should see your doctor for a urine test, and if you do have a urinary tract infection they will give you antibiotics.
