Yes, labret piercings do leave a scar. Depending on the person, some are more obvious than others. In time, most scars fade.
Depends on how long you have them, and what kind they are. Piercings in the cartilage, lip and ear lobe rarely close completely, they scar while new skin might grow over the hole, the cartilage remains shattered. Tongue piercings heal quickly, because the tongue is a muscle. Dermal piercings also heal better than cartilage, but can leave a scar.
Leave a Scar was created in 2009.
A small scar where the ring was, hard from the scar tissue.
All piercings scar that's how the hole stays open, a tunnel of scar tissue called a fistula forms around the jewellery. If you're wondering whether a noticeable mark will be left after you allow the piercing to close up, the answer is probably. Depending on the gauge of your jewellery the scar will be almost invisible.
Do you just mean a lip piercing? Piercings aren't considered to be permanent. So yes, you can remove it whenever you'd like. Theres a chance that it'll leave a scar, but it should be pretty small unless there are complications :)
No, but you can buy a retainer which will make it less noticeable.
No, if they are white it means they are getting healthier. DO NOT pop them or they WILL leave a scar.
According to the autopsy he had a 2cm scar behind his right ear, one by both of his nostrils, a 10 cm scar on his right shoulder, two at the base of his neck and some small ones on his arms and wrist.
Surface piercings. Surface piercings have a very high rate of rejection -- about 98%. They almost always reject and usually never heal. Rejection is very nasty, painful, and will leave a significant scar. They are not worth the hassle, so I would say they are the ones that you should avoid.
yes. they can if you strectch them (move em around) my cousin got 1 but she had to take it out cuz it rubbed her teeth raw and she had a scar there when she stopped wearing it.
There's no way to be sure honestly. Some people can have piercings for years that never fully heal to the point that they don't close. If you have other piercings that have healed to that point, you can use that as a gauge but otherwise, don't remove the jewelry unless you want to risk losing the piercing :)
