- Long term relationships will work if the two people involved are truly in love; trust each other; are loyal; have good communication skills and even when they may have the odd argument or more learn to agree to disagree and sit down and resolve problems together. Unfortunately, in this modern age it seems easier for some couples to stray from each other over the simplest of things because they are too lazy to put the work into the relationship and this is not love at its best. A very small percentage of long term relationships work out.
