Yes they do. Although they are very active and the constant exercise they do does affect the developing rate, they still have periods. It varies very much in different people though. My friend, who is 15 is a serious gymnast who competes in lots of competitions, got her period when she was 12. Another friend who is also a serious gymnast is 14 now and hasn't started her period!
