Democratic process relies entirely upon the opinions of the masses, which are expressed through the formation of political parties. This does not make the democratic process any faster, as the more organized a party is the larger its voice and the louder its opinion - and louder are its opponents, consequently. So in this sense, the democratic process is upheld, while simultaneously hindered.
