An ejector is a mechanism used to remove the formed part from the die cavity once it has been punched or stamped, while a shedder is a component that helps break up the slug or waste material left behind during the punching process. Ejectors push the finished part out of the die, while shedders help clear away the scrap to prevent jams and maintain clean production.

What is the difference between 180 gram vinyl and 200 gram vinyl on records?

The main difference between 180 gram vinyl and 200 gram vinyl is the thickness and weight of the vinyl used to press the records. 200 gram vinyl is heavier and thicker than 180 gram vinyl, which can result in potentially better sound quality, durability, and reduced risk of warping. However, the difference in sound quality may be subtle and depends on various factors such as mastering and pressing quality.

What is the difference between press fit and shrink fit?

Press fit involves assembling two parts by pressing them together with an interference fit, where one part is slightly larger than the other to create a tight connection. Shrink fit involves heating one component to expand it and then inserting the second component, allowing the first component to contract and create a tight connection as it cools. Shrink fit typically provides a more precise and uniform connection compared to press fit.
