determinate structures are analysed by using equation of equilibrium or statics ie.., EV=0,EH=O,EM=0. EXAMPLE: simply supported beam ,cantilever beam, single or double over hanging beam.

indeterminate beams are not capable of being analysed by using equation of statics. along with equation of statics we need some conditions for finding the unknowns. Example : fixed beam, propped cantilever beam, and continuous beam

What is the difference between indeterminate and determinate sentencing in law?

Indeterminate sentencing allows for a range of possible release dates, determined by a parole board based on the individual's behavior while in prison. Determinate sentencing mandates a fixed term of imprisonment without the possibility of parole or early release. Determinate sentencing provides more certainty in terms of the length of incarceration, while indeterminate sentencing allows for flexibility based on the inmate's conduct.

What is the difference between software that is determinate and software that is indeterminate?

<1>. Software that is determinte: the order and timing of its inputs, processing, and outputs is predictable. <2>. Software that is indeterminate: the order and timing of its input, processing, and outputs is not predictable in advance.

What is the difference between statically determinate and indeterminate beam?

A statically determinate beam can have its reactions and internal forces completely determined using equilibrium equations, while a statically indeterminate beam requires additional equations beyond equilibrium to solve for all reactions and internal forces. Statically determinate beams have a fixed number of unknowns that can be solved using statics principles, whereas statically indeterminate beams have more unknowns than can be determined with statics alone.

What is the difference between redundant and nonredundant structures?

A redundant structure has more structure than is absolutely necessary. This means that, if some part of the structure is damaged or removed, the structure will not necessarily fail or collapse, as another part can bear the load of the damaged or missing piece. A non redundant structure is dependent on every piece of the structure.

Distinguish between determinate error and indeterminate error?

Indeterminate errors are random errors that randomly fluctuate and cannot be eliminated. Determinate errors

What is the difference between software determinate and software that is indeterminate?

Information determinacy refers to the predictability of the order and timing of infor- mation. An engineering analysis program accepts data that have a predefined order, executes the analysis algorithm(s) without interruption, and produces resultant data in report or graphical format. Such applications are determinate. A multiuser oper- ating system, on the other hand, accepts inputs that have varied content and arbi- trary timing, executes algorithms that can be interrupted by external conditions, and produces output that varies as a function of environment and time. Applications with these characteristics are indeterminate.
