The answer is yes. How do I know; I have a model 4 rolling block rifle. I am trying to find out the year of mfg. The serial# is 354682
Impossible to answer without the serial number.
The Remington Model 4 rolling block in .22 caliber with the serial number 353853 was manufactured in 1912. This model was produced from 1900 to 1935, and the serial number helps to pinpoint its production year within that range.
You will have to contact Remington.
That maybe you reading the serial no wrong? They only made around 307K of them ending in 1931.
Depends on how many digits follow. Never understand the reluctance of people to post a serial, did you steal it?
You can call Remington at 1-800-243-9700 and go thru the menu selection. One of the menu options is to request information on your Remington based off the serial number. You read off your serial number and the guy looks up in the database the year the gun was made and what the orginial barrel was for that gun.
Prior to 1905 is the best answer I can provide
The Remington model 4 rolling block rifle was made between 1890-1933.If you have a model 4S military rifle, then these were made by Remington from 1913-1923.your rifle has either a 22.5in barrel,or a 24in barrel. These were chambered in .22,.25 Stevens,or 32 caliber.
1907
1890-1933 - w/ serial can date (some of them).
I only have the serial list to 1931 and it's after that. It will however have a date code stamped on the barrel see related links for a page with details.
The Rolling block was made in 1907
