Although it is not black and white, most anti federalists agreed with slavery during the revelutionary time period. They saw it as a necessary evil at the time. How else could one farmer manage an entire plantation and make a profit with out slaves or modern tecnology? The one thing that the anti federalists could be condemed of is that slavery was determined by race and these human beings were basically no better than a horse because of race. Who can justly condem a person to slavery because of skin tone? I would like this to be answered by any man who still agrees with slavery or vews others as lesser beings.
The major compromises between the federalists and the anti-federalists include individual versus federal rights. It also includes the resolution of slavery under a republican government, as well as state rights versus federal government in relation to taxation and the military.
