A jumper is the English word for a sweater-specifically a long-sleeve pullover.

You can most definitely purchase a novelty Christmas sweater (called a jumper in the United Kingdom) on eBay. A lot of people get ones as gifts and they want to sell them right away.
It depends which word you use. Jumper is 'cavalier' while Sweater is 'chandail' That is not true i am afraid Jumper in French is "Pullover", Sweater is the same, although 'Sweater' is American and France do not know of that word but i would suppose it could be "Sweatshirt". Shirt is "Chemise".
