Crosman made all the airguns for Montgomery Wards. Unfortunately my catalogue doesn't list this particular model (not all the records were kept and some cross-reference models were lost.)
But I did a search on the web for (Montgomery Ward Hawthorne M140 ) and found a photo of the M140. With this I cross-referenced it with my Catalogue and I believe it is a Crosman model 140 made in 4 variations from 1954 to 1968.
If you go to the Crosman home page you can find a link to all their airgun owners and parts manuals at the bottom of the Crosman home page.
I think you will have to contact Crosman directly to get an answer to this. See the link below
State the model of the rifle? 126.19320 Answer: Both Crosman and Daisy made Air rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins name. Any model that started with 126 was a Crosman and any model that started with 799 was a Daisy. I believe your model is a Crosman 400 made between 1962-64. Go to the Crosman home page and click on "Download an owners manual". You should be able to find a owners manual and a parts manual there. See the related link

No it should not. Are you sure the air gun is a .22 caliber not a .25 caliber. Air you loading it right? Are you loading it through the breech? You are using an air gun not a real gun.
The 132 is part of a series made by Benjamin it covered models 130, 132 and 137. they were made in both .177, .22 caliber pellets and BB. They were made between 1946-85. The name Benjamin Franklin was a marketing Gimmick, he had nothing to do with the company. Walter Benjamin started the company back in 1899. Crosman made a model 1400 from 1968 to 1978. It was a 22cal Pellet rifle not a BB gun. If this is the rifle you are asking about please post the condition of the rifle to get an estimate of the value. Is it in excellent, good, fair or poor condition? Actuall Crossman did make a BB gun V35C Slide action. I bought mine in1968. I hve it in front of me right now. To chamber the BB you slide the barrel down and pullit back up. it is solid the estimated value in good condition is $55 to $75. Hope this helps My Grandson loves it
