No, never. Browning did not make any recoil pads standard on any A5 except the Mag12. For an extra fee, Browning would install it for you at their shops in the US, but it is not factory and was not imported from Belgium with a pad.
yes
It would have come with a hard plastic buttplate with the word 'BROWNING' on it.

Sweet 16's are popular and come in different variants. Since you did not provide a detailed description of the weapon, its features, finish, condition, box, papers, any accessories, barrel length, choke, etc. the answer can only be general in nature. You might be in the 100-1000 USD range, give or take.
Yes, several different models have gold plating.
The choke light on a 1984 Chevy El Camino will come on if the choke fails to open or close. The choke should be visually inspected to verify functionality.
My Browning 270 Semi-automatic refile came without a serial number but purchased back in 1973 brand new. Why did my rifle did not come with a Serial Number? I am the original owner of this refle.

The answer to your question is yes.The browning lightweight (light 12 or light 20)could be ordered from FN with a vent rib barrel. These browning lightweight model auto-5 shotguns were made between 1967-1976.
The A-5 you are referring to is a Light 20. The "Z" denotes Light 20 Gauge (and you can look on the non-bolt side of the receiver and it will be written there). The 0 means it was made in 1960. Your shotgun should have a gold trigger and a round pistol grip. At the top of the magazine cap above the forend you should have 2 rings around it. The factory light 20 A-5 did not come with a pad, but with a butt plate with FN marked on it. If you have questions please call me at Browning Collector There is no "Sweet 20". Go to the Browning website to determine what model you have and determine the date.
If it is the choke indicator Light, it means that you did not set the choke when you started the vehicle. If the vehicle has a choke idiot light turned on, then it can mean that there is a problem with the choke/carb or there is a problem in the oil system.
