This all depends on what you are looking for. A good air rifle will cost on the average $150 or more, but a competition air rifle will cost into the thousands. I own a few PCP air rifles. (PreCharged Pneumatic) that cost around $400 to $1200. These are the most powerful class of air rifles. They are charged with a Scuba tank to 3000 PSI. The average consumer can expect to spend around $250 for a good air rifle or air gun.
1500s
The older ones are. the new ones are battery or spring powered.
A spring, an electric motor or by compressed gas.
Sure. Air guns don't use gunpowder.
An air-soft gun that is powered by CO2 or green or red gas instead of a spring or a battery.
A pneumatic nail gun is a fastening tool powered by compressed air. It uses air pressure to drive nails into various materials quickly and efficiently.
It has to be electric (AEG).
shove it up your bum lol
Yes you do. Also a recent law requires all owners of PCP air rifles to register them. ( High powered air rifles.) See the link below.
Pump powered air guns should only be pumped when you are ready to shoot the gun. Never leave an air gun pumped for a long period of time it is very hard on the seals and will eventually ruin them. It has been recommended that on a multi pump rifle or gun that you only pump it once to keep the chambers closed when you store it.
For an air/piston powered .177 BB gun - anything less than 200 feet per second (fps) For a CO2 powered BB gun - anything less than 300 fps. For an "AIR SOFT" gun - anything less than 150 fps.
He intended to make an all metal BB gun. BUT he did not invent air guns or rifle. Lewis and Clark had a high powered multiple shot air rifle and the Austrian Army had many air rifles as far back as the 1500's
