A. Marchal was a Master engraver with Browning Arms in the 50s/60s and engraved numerous Diana Grade Superposed Browning shotguns as well as high end Browning rifles.

There are many different models of Browning shotguns that were made in Belgium by the Fabrique Nationale manufacturing plant in Liege/Herstal. The oldest of which is the Auto-5 Automatic Shotgun which began in 1903. Some Superposed shotguns are still made there.
Use to be manufactured in Belgium and other various European countries but today they are manufactured in China. If you have the money buy the made in Belgium.
