A Blackberry Curve on ATT is GSM-based, while Metropcs is a CDMA carrier. Even if you unlock the phone you would still not be able to use it on Metropcs or any other CDMA carriers as GSM is not compatible with CDMA or vice versa.

no they do not take any phones from at&t. and they also don't switch any blackberries no matter if its Verizon or sprint...they r still working on that
