I do not believe so. I tried using a headphones splitter with a mic, and just regular headphones. it did not work. also the mic just by itself didnt work. Although, you can listen to music on your iPod! i have a turtle beach x1 earforce, and 2g ipod touch. it might be different with other ipod/ headphone models! :D
I know mics made my turtle beach like px3 or something like that works for xbox and pc so i believe so.
There are apps in the app store that allow you to record sounds, and, instruments if you wanted (althogh the quality may not be great). Also with the new 3.0 firware, there is an app that comes built in, called "Voice Memo's" wich records, so you could use that if you wanted to. As for a mic, the iPod touch does not have a built in mic, but you can buy mics, that plug into the same hole used to plug into the usb computer wire. There are also mics on the iPhone headsets, wich, I beleive, work with iPod touches. Hope this helped
Can you mix condenser mics with directional mics using phantom power?
if you upgraded to 3.1.1 your pretty much screwed apple took out the support of external mics from the iPod Touch before that it worked with 2.1.1 to 3.0 then Apple screwed us with the 3.1.1 so if you can roll back to 3.0 or earlier then go for it
Yes, but you will also need overhead instrument mics for the cymbals.
The internal mics are always on. The external mic can be mono or stereo.
No. You can use any mics in theory, but obviously dedicated drum mics are better. Check the web (How to record drums} and you'll find more advice and recommendations than you'll ever get through in a lifetime {grimtraveller}.
tha-ga-no-mics
Yes.
Shure 585SB mics sell for about $10 alone to $25 with the original box and papers. That price is per mic.
Here is the list of Mics that the Shure company currently markets.http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/Products/WiredMicrophones/index.htmIs there a certain application that you need a microphone for?
Most laptops have built in camcorders and mics. Unless you buy a really small laptop it is going to have these parts. The HP Pavilion dv2000 specifically has them.
