Pyrodex does not MAKE a .22 caliber pellet, so no, no one sells them. .45, 50, and 54 caliber only.
It depends on the caliber. Air Pellets come in .177, .20, .22, 25, 9mm, 45 Cal, 357 cal, and 50 caliber. Different manufactures make different size pellets.
The most common ammo is the .177 BB or .177 pellet. However some pellets come in 20cal, 22cal, 25cal and the larger 45 and 50 cal pellets. That are used in the big bore PCP Air Rifles.

suggest you check with a gunsmith. I believe there is a slight difference between the 455 cal and 45 cal. however, I also believe the 455 cal can be changed (by gunsmith) to the 45 cal.
45 ACP. Have it checked by a gunsmith before firing.
There are several types of pellet traps that can be purchased and even used indoors. these are meant to be used with flat nosed lead pellets and NOT the saboted or hardened hunting pellets. they would dent or even penetrate the mild steel angled deflector plate backstop. In the past I've even used 3/4" plywood angled down at 45 degrees with a heavy blanket hung behind to stop any strays. works with bb's and flat nosed pellets at up to 700 fps for 177 cal. and 500 fps for 22 cal pellets.
any 45 cal ammo will work in a 45 cal pistol

What about it?
It has nothing to do with velocity. It has more to do with the size, weight and shape of the pellet. I recommend a .25 Cal or larger pellet. (Yes Pellet rifles come in different sizes) The smallest to the largest are .177, .20, .22, .25, 9mm, 357 cal, 45 Cal, and 50 Cal. I also recommend using hunting (hollowpoint) pellets. The heaver the better the knock-down power. (Pellets come in different weights.) Also check to see if your location allows hunting with a pellet gun.
Depends on the load.
