I was taking yaz and metformin to treat pcos. Yaz made me cough all the time and moody, didn't lose much weight on them though so I went for a second opinion and the new gynae put me on yasmin and glucophage xr. Its been 7 months now and lost 30kilograms. Got 40kilograms to go.

Are there yaz withdrawals?
I was on yaz for about 2 years and I stopped taking it about 4 months ago because it started giving me heart palpitations right out of the blue. I linked the two together because I went online and looked it up, I also found out my mood swings, anxiety, headaches and so forth were all from stupid yaz. Thanks FDA for your high standards!I have been having the worst fatigue ever since I stopped taking yaz. I am not sure if it has to do with my potassium level because yaz increases it. I am not sure but whatever you do DON'T TAKE YAZ!!!!!!
Can the Mirena and Yaz pill be used together long term?
I had the mirena inserted Oct 2012, but with that I had the bad luck of an ovarian cyst. I used Yaz for 6 months and the cyst disappeared. It made it's appearance again end of 2013 and the cyst had burst. You can use Yaz together with the mirena but not for long term.
