How do you stretch the cartilage piercing?

Same as you would stretch any other piercing except much more slowly. Cartilage is difficult to stretch and may not stretch. It just varies from person to person.

What is the standard nose ring gauge?

18g is the standard nostril piercing gauge. 20g is too fine and too much like wearing a knife in your piercing should it get caught or snagged.

Can you pierce your nose?

No you can't pierce your nose, not without a great deal of blood, grief and hassle. Tell you what, you can however call your local body piercing studio and ask them how much a "nostril piercing" will cost and book an appointment to get it done correctly. Just so you know, nostril piercing can not be done legally with a ear piercing gun, anyone who tells you diffrent is a liar or basing there response on misinformation. www.safepiercing.org

How much does it cost for nose piercing at ardene s in chatem?

You need to be aware that nostril piercing in not to be done with a piercing gun, under most health regulations piercing guns are not to be used on anything other than ear lobes. Using a piercing to piercer other locations of the body can lead to infections due to cross contamination, and other more serious health concerns. Leave body piercing to licensed professional body piercing facility where they are cleared to pierce your nostril using single use needles and bio compatible jewellery.

How do you put a back on a regular stud in your nostril?

To put a back on a regular stud in your nostril, gently insert the stud into your piercing until the front is in place. Then, hold the back of the stud and push it against the back of your nostril until secure. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid discomfort or injury.

Do you have to get a nose stud before you can get a nose ring?

Enjoy the best of two worlds, what most people don't know and a lot on novice piercers have never learned is there are two ways to do a nostril piercing depending on the jewellery you want to wear.Nostril piercings done with a ring as the jewellery of choice, need to be pierced parallel to the floor so that a majority of the ring is inside the nasal cavity (the ring should look like it's cuddling the nostril flare on the outside).Nostril piercings done with a nostril screw (or sometimes called a stud) as the jewellery of choice need to be done at right angles to the side of the nose, this allows the gem to sit as flat as possible on the surface of the side of the nose.If you want to be able to wear either type of jewellery(stud or a ring) you should get the piercing done with a nostril screw, get through the initial healing period of 6~8 weeks. Then you can get a special ring put into the piercing (it's called a nostril nail, it has a flat disc on one end and is shaped like a ring which is tailor bent by your professional body piercer to cuddle the side of the nose), this ring won't distort the piercing like a normal captive bead or fixed bead ring will. You get to change it up one day you wear a nostril screw the next week you're sporting a nice fitted nostril nail ring. The key secret to a clean and healthy nostril piercing is to stay to the basics, nostril screws wont cause as much irritation during the initial healing period because there is very little material hanging off the piercing to get caught or snagged. The less irritation, the better and faster the heal. simply shuffling the screw in and out of the piercing while rinsing the piercing in the shower is the quickest and easiest mean to clean the piercing without all the woo woo aftercare crap everyone tries to sell you. In two weeks time the end of the screw will seem to always be falling down and hanging out of your nose. Annoying Yes, but this is an indication that you are cleaning the piercing properly and it is healing nicely.A visit to your friendly professional piercer to bend the nostril screw tail angle a bit tighter than 90 degrees will resolve the dropping issue. Carry on with your aftercare daily for the next 4~6 weeks before considering the change to the nostril nail. The above information is provided to you from a seasoned 20 year professional body piercer and studio owner with thousands of clients with healthy piercings to his credit.Enjoy your piercings!

How much eyebrow piercing costs in Mumbai?

Answer: Clearly, you have internet. So I would suggest googling "piercing studio mumbai," clicking on websites for piercing studios, and calling those places to inquire about the price of a piercing. I found a few but they did not have prices listed on their websites. Eyebrow piercings should be the same price as all other piercings (nostril, septum, belly button, lip, tongue, earlobe, cartilage, etc.)

Hi I have had my nose pierced for 3 week's and school is making me take it out it'll be out for about 8 hours will it close up or any sly ideas about how i can hide it?

Well the school can't actually make you remove it unless it's a ring, if it's a nostril stud they can't do too much about it. But what you can do is get an acrylic nostril retainer and put that in the piercing. It being clear will be hard for them to see it unless they get right up close to your face. Ultimately if your parents don't have an issue with your nostril piercing, then the school should mind there own business and leave you alone. What would they do if you had it done for religious purposes? Now there's a kettle of fish they won't want to touch. If you have a ring in it I would suggest changing it to a nostril screw and tell them to pound sand. As for removing it you can't yet, the piercing takes a full year to season and even a light heal won't happen until the piercing is 6 weeks old or older. Removing it now will cause the piercing to attempt to heal and that would form scar tissue which you don't want, the other option is go with a nostril screw and a little band aid tape over it.

What causes blisters around a cartiliage piercing?

Playing with the piercing too much. Also, not washing your hands before handling it. It's a very sensitive area to begin with and it is easily infected.

Which is worse the Monroe or the tongue piercing cause ive had my tongue pierced and i fainted so what is the Monroe like?

It is largely dependent on each person. My labret (usually said to be pretty much identical to a "monroe" pain wise) and my tongue were simple and painless, but I thought I was going to cry getting my nostril pierced. My sister fainted getting her philtrum (proper term for any upper lip piercing) but she was laughing and talking while getting her nostril pierced. There is no way to tell which will be worse for you, and a good piercer can make all the difference in the world.

Can you get a clear stud when you first pierce your nose?

Well for the first piercing you need to know that piercing guns are not to be used to pierce nostrils. OK got that out of the way now for the where, any body piercing studio will be happy to do your piercing for you so research the places, go in have a chat and find the place you feel most comfortable at. Now for the what, nostril screws are the best for the first time piercing. They allow room for cleaning which is very important second they are comfortable, third they are less apt to be pulled or snagged causing them to come out. Avoid discussions about nose bones, these are a straight shaft jewellery piece that can easily be pulled out of the piercing (usually when you don't want them pulled out). Stick to the nostril screw, the first couple of weeks you will notice the screw becoming looser in the piercing, this is a good thing this indicates that the piercing is healing correctly. You will also have a whitish yellow discharge on the piercing, this is normal and will ease off as the piercing heals. Two or three weeks in you can go back to the studio and have the nostril screw tightened, they take the screw out bend it slightly and put it back in this takes away some of the slop and motion from the jewellery and makes it much more comfortable. So hit the yellow pages and check out "Body Piercing" and "Tattoos" (some tattoo studios also do body piercing) Happy Piercings!!

Does having your nose pirced hurt?

This question has been asked way too many times. If you want the piercing done, be sure to see a professional body piercer and not some whack job with a piercing gun who knows they are not suppose to use piercing guns for anything other than ear lobes under manufacturers guidelines and federal health regulations Nostril piercing done by a professional body piercer is simple and quick and for the most part next to painless. One quick stroke and the piercing is done, if pain is a factor maybe piercing isn't for you. The honest answer is YES, it hurts. How much is up to how you percieve pain and the technique used.
