Yes you can but you must take in consideration to the expenses to get started and maintain a flu cured crop. It takes money to make it say for instance curing barns,gas and labor prices. Also weather plays a big part of the money making end drought early frost ext. However there is good money in the end if all survives the season the more you grow the more money you spend but also the more you end up clearing if all goes good. Contract tobacco is still about 2.00 dollars a pound for tips so the anhser is yes you can but beware it's more like a well paying gamble with all the elements and whether nowadays........
