yes there is a false positive! I have two kids and about 2 months ago I though I was pregnant again. I took the ept and it was positive, then I took another one the following morning and it was negative so I made a doctors appointment and I was not pregnant!

However , though it is rare, there are some women who are pregnant and the HCG levels don't show up in their blood till they are sometimes 3 or more months along. If you think you are pregnant and have all the symptoms but keep getting a negative result, I would suggest getting an ultra-sound... if they see a fetus you are pregnant. I totally know what you are feeling, you want it so bad you are scared if you look and your not pregnant you are going to cry. Couple things though it is what it is... meaning you holding out worrying over the results is not going to change the result. Plus if you are then it is best you get in to the doctor and start that prenatal care, and run around and tell everyone, and dance for joy..... I am not trying to sound insencetive at all, I know it can be hard... but just take the test if you are buy a maternity shirt even though you wont need it, if not then grab that man of yours and practice practice practice..... till perfect..
