It may be possible to get the GAP round to fire from the gun, but it is not a good idea. The two cartridges are not interchangeable, and trying to do that may cause a malfunction or it may damage the gun.

No. The .45 Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP) cartridge is longer the the .45 Glock Automatic Pistol (GAP) cartridge. Since they headspace on the MOUTH of the cartridge case, they cannot be interchanged.
Can you shoot 45 acp ammo in a Glock 37?
