Can you locate your ipod touch from your laptop?

To locate the iPod Touch, it must first have been set up for Apple's Find My iPhone service. If it is, there are two ways to locate it. If Find My iPhone is not setup on the device, there is no way to locate it.

With an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad:

Go to the App Store.

Search Find My iPhone

Download it (free)

Once downloaded, open and sign in with your Apple ID

Tap your iPod Touch and either wipe, lock, locate or display a message and play a sound. Note: this ONLY works if your iPod Touch is connected to WiFi where it is.

With a computer:

Go to me.com

Sign in with Apple ID

Click your iPod and either wipe, lock, locate, or display a message and play a sound.

Note: Requires iPod to be connected to WiFi

You have to have wifi to locate your ipod. You can download some apps like GPS tracker and let it locate your ipod. Or just simply tap on camera and tap map to locate but you have to upgrade your ipod in order to do this.
