It is possible to do but not a recommended practice
Carpet tiles are designed to be installed over a stable surface. Even if you use one of the solvent based outdoor adhesives there will be some movement of one carpet against the other. This abrading will result in premature separation of the layers and you will be constantly trying to re adhere sections of the floor as they come loose.
The best procedure is to remove the existing carpet, prep the surface & then install the tiles.
the best way to lay carpet tiles is to keep the edges tightly fit.
If the tiles are down tight and the added height wont bother you, it is fine to go over the tile with carpet glued down or over pad. The installers will hate setting the tackstrip, but it is part of the job.. you are good to go.
nope
Yes, you can lay pavers over concrete for your outdoor project.
To install carpet tiles on concrete, start by cleaning the surface thoroughly and allowing it to dry. Next, apply adhesive to the concrete using a trowel, then lay the carpet tiles in the desired pattern. Press down firmly to ensure they adhere properly. Trim any excess tiles to fit the edges of the room. Finally, allow the adhesive to dry completely before walking on the carpet tiles.
To effectively install carpet tiles in your basement, start by cleaning and preparing the floor surface. Lay out the tiles in the desired pattern before adhering them to the floor using carpet tile adhesive. Trim the tiles as needed to fit the space and ensure a seamless look. Consider using a moisture barrier underneath the tiles to protect against dampness. Regularly vacuum and clean the carpet tiles to maintain their appearance and functionality.
Interlocking floor tiles are not preferable used over carpet. The best surface to lay tile or any other flooring product is on a firm and solid surface that out give. Carpet goes down when you step on and makes it so the interlocking tiles will eventually come unlocked by stepping on it. I would not recommend that you install any type of flooring until your carpet is taken out. However if your looking for a good interlocking floor tile I would recommend Swisstrax. They have a great product. And they are great to work with. Sources: www.swisstrax.com www.bigfloors.com www.racedeck.com

To lay carpet in a room effectively and efficiently, start by measuring the room and purchasing the right amount of carpet. Remove any existing flooring and clean the subfloor. Install carpet padding and stretch the carpet over it, using a knee kicker and carpet stretcher. Trim excess carpet and secure it along the edges. Vacuum the carpet to finish.
yes you can it makes no difference {edit:} IF you are gluing the carpet to the laminate. But if you plan to install tack strip and stretch the carpet, you risk the tension of the carpet pulling up laminate boards at the edges.
