Yes, in accordance with the laws for transporting firearms in each state which you're driving through. Your firearm is also subject to the laws of states you're stopping in, originating from, and destined for. E.g., if you're originating from, stopping in, or delivering to a state with a 10 round magazine limit, you're subject to that law.
It's a common rumor that a federal law exists which prohibits firearms in commercial vehicles - this is 100% false. There is nothing in the FMCSR or CVSS which addresses the matter, except to say that a loaded firearm may not be transported as part of the cargo.

Yes. Always check the laws of any states you will be driving through before transporting a firearm through that state, as different states may have different laws pertaining to the manner in which the firearm is transported. There is a Federal law that takes precedence over state law- if the firearm is legal to possess at your point of origin AND at your destination. State when do you have to have your gun in a case do you have to have riffles in the bed of your truck in a case?

Not sure of your question- but I think it is to do with legal transport of a firearm. While laws vary from state to state, there is one law- known as the Peaceable Journey Act, that covers this. This is 18 US Code 926A. It provides that you may lawfully transport an unloaded firearm from one place where it is legal, to another place where it is legal, and overrides state law. In the case of a truck with no trunk, you can place the unloaded gun in a locked case inside the passenger compartment. Below is a cut & paste of the Federal law:§ 926A. Interstate transportation of firearmsNotwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for any lawful purpose from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle: Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver's compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console.

Can you transport a weapon in or through Maryland if it is taken apart?

Federal law says that you can- and it does not need to be taken apart, but it DOES need to be secured. In the federal regulatory code, Title 18 Section 926(a) The Peaceable Journey Act, under Part 1, Chapter 44, states: "Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for any lawful purpose from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation, the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle: "Provided, that in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver's compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console." Please avoid NYC, since they habitually violate this Federal law.

Can a convicted felon ride in a car with a person who possess a firearm?

It is a federal crime for a convicted felon to either own or "POSSESS" a firearm, of ANY type, ANYwhere, for ANY reason. Being in close proximity to a firearm (as in riding in a vehicle with one) places the felon in "constructive" possession of the firearm, therefore, he would be in violation of the law. Furthermore, if the person with the firearm KNEW that the other person was a convicted felon they MIGHT be charged with 'aiding and abetting.'
