Yes you can. I did at 11 yrs old. It is not illegal even though some people say it is. I had both my parents with me. You need to have a birth certificate, proof like an I.D. from school, and your parents I.D. I got mine done at Queen Of Hearts in Nashville, Tennessee. It takes about 20 minutes to wait and then about 5 minutes to get it done. You will want to have the H2Ocean stuff along with Bactine. You can get Bactine at the local stores. You will need to clean it everyday. The piercer will tell you more.

I GOT MY BELLY BOTTON PEIRCED AND I HAVE NEEDLE PHOBIA BAD BUT I DID NOT THINK IT HURT AT ALL IT WAS OVER AND DONE WITH BEFORE I KNEW ITI got mine done and I thought that it was a 7, But it only hurt for a few seconds! It really depends on how deep you get it pierced I've had mine done twice and the first time I didn't even feel it until the piercer told me he was all done but the second time was about a 4-5 because she had to go deeper even then it only hurt for a couple seconds. Everyone is different with pain tolerance but mine hurt on a scale of 1-10 about a 5.5 or 6. Because you are piercing a thicker piece of skin you will feel the needle going through a little slower than other piercings. But its tolerable; nothing to panic about!
