Many shops will allow people to do work experience however generally you need to be 19 ~ 21 depending on the State or Province you are in. Check with the local health unit about age requirements and then ask about the studios you are interested in to see if they have any complaints filed against them. You want to make sure the studio you go to has a good rep and follows the regulations. You don't want to learn bad habits it you want to look into this industry for a career.

Hope that helps

How much does a body piercer make a year?

A piercer at a shop can make a lot of money. Of course they don't get paid by the shop at all. It all depends on how much each piercing is, and how much the shop charges. For example the shop I work at charges at least forty five dollars a piercing. Now pairs of piercings cost more along with genital piercings and surface piercings (piercings usually on arm, chest, neck). The piercer usually gives $10 sometimes more for every piercing. The ususal amount I leave with is $300 a night. And I work 4 nights a week. $1200 a week, $4800 a month, $57600 a year. Now it can always be more depending on speed, how many hours/days you work, location, and price of piercing.

Age required to get naval piercing?

Body Piercing facilities are inspected by the local health protection and inspection office and are licensed by the local city hall business licensing department. Listed in the yellow pages under heading of "Body Piercing" and or "Tattoos". All Body Piercing and Tattoo studios have age limits set by the licensing agency so age limits can vary from town to town and city to city. Prices for piercings can also vary from shop to shop as well as the requirements for parental consent. Your best bet is to call your local city hall business licensing office and ask about age requirements for your area. Then call the local studios listed and ask about shop policies and prices.

Where can you get your cartilage pierced in north London?

As with any professional body piercing, prices can vary from studio to studio and city to city. Your best bet is to call the local shops in your area a do a little price shopping, but be sure you ask about the piercer's experience and training as well as spore tests, health inspections and age requirements. Do your home work before you buy, and don't base it solely on price, good piercings are not cheap and cheap piercings are never good. Check your local phone book under Body Piercing
