I talked to my doctor about the same thing. He says it's very hard to do. Since cigarettes are an anti-depressent. Most people that quit smoking, get depressed therefore they turn to food. He said you have to have great will power to do this. I think it would be easier to lose the weight first. But try to cut back on the cigs. Which is possible cause I'm doing it. I think of it as if i quit smoking now and gain 20-30 lbs, it's going to be harder to loose now where as I work my butt off now and lose the weight and learn how to control my smoking where I ease off of it instead of quiting cold turkey, it would be easier.
