Can you take birth control pills and still be pregnant Can you take birth control pills and still be pregnant
A woman can take birth control pills before she has been pregnant once. Sometimes a woman may use birth control pills before a first period, although that is exceedingly rare.
you should be on them for atleast 6months.
The cycle is three weeks of hormones, one week of no hormones, as you pretty much figured out by the fact that of the 28 pills in the pack, seven of them are placebos. When BC pills first came out, they used to only give you the 21 hormone pills. You were supposed to take the pills for 21 days, then not take pills for seven days before starting hormones again. The problem with that is people would start taking the pills again at nine days or eleven days or whatever, and a lot of women got pregnant. "How could this happen? These things are supposed to keep you from getting pregnant!" And they do, if you keep to the schedule. Now, they give you 21 days of hormones and seven placebos, and you get to take one pill every day. If you get into the habit of always taking a pill every day, you won't mess up the cycle. So as to your answer: if you can remember to start taking the hormone pills again after seven days, you don't need to take the placebos. Then again, they won't hurt you if you take them.
If you took the birth control pill as prescribed, there was no need to take the morning after pill. Pregnancy is possible, but not likely.
You should not take any birth control pills if you're trying to get pregnant.

Birth control pills wont make you abort. if you are pregnant you can take Plan B 1-5 days after sex to prevent the pregnancy and if you are pregnant and want to abort you have to go to a doctor.
Im assuming you are taking all these pills in one day because you skipped them on their appropriate days. If so, then yes, there is a possibility that you can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex on one of those days.
use backup protection. Even if you take 4 days worth in 1 day, you can still get pregnant.
Seven days. If you muck up on taking a pill (ie you forget to take it, or you take it late) you are advised to use other methods of birth control for seven days. The same applies here - take your pills correctly for seven days before trying sex without a condom.
