The 21 pound M-60 machine gun fired a .308 caliber round,(I know because I carried one).that being said;yes your Winchester model 70 will fire this round. You of course will have to strip the rounds out of the belt to chamber them in your model 70.
The 223 is considered a Short Action rifle.
Need to know what model, action type and caliber.
A lever action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester.
Between $500 and $1000. There is more than 1 model of Winchester in that caliber.
No way to answer without knowing if it is a rifle or shotgun, what type action it as and caliber/gauge.
300
The question you have asked does not have any info on your Winchester model 70.Please include the serial number and what specific info you are requesting about your Winchester model70 rifle.
Your Winchester model of the U S model 1917 30-06 caliber rifle was produced by Winchester from 1917-1919.
It is a lever action rifle made by winchester in 1971,and either chambered in 30-30 Win,or .32 Winchester special caliber.
The Winchester 25-20 caliber was first chambered in the Winchester model 1892 rifle/carbine which was made from 1892.The last chambering that I have found was in the Winchester model 43 bolt action rifle that was produced from 1949-1957.I would surmise that this caliber was available from 1892-1957.
Winchester did not make a model 1911 pump action 22 cal rifle,They did make a model 1890,a model 1906,a model 61,and a model 62 pump action 22 caliber rifle. Please include the amount of original finish remaining on your rifle, and bore condition to get a accurate value, once the model number is determined.
Winchester has made many rifles over the past 100+ years. You must provide the caliber and action type it you want assistance.
