Of course you can! You can eat clams, mussels, etc. as long as they are cooked until the shell is opened.
(But, make sure the shells are tightly shut BEFORE you put them on to steam/boil. If the mussel is open and you try to shut it and it springs back open, DO NOT COOK/EAT IT! It's already dead and posionous if consumed.
Its a good idea to stay clear of all shellfish especially raw when pregnant and breatsfeeding as they carry harmful bacteria which can damage you and your child. Although cooked shellfish and seafood is perfectly fine if thouroughly cooked
You should not eat raw fish or seafood when pregnant.
Cooked mussels stored in the refrigerator should be eaten within 1 or 2 days. See Related Links.

Surely raw mussels are fresh mussels meaning they are still alive,That being the case keep live mussels in a cool place in a pail/bucket of water and feed lightly with oatmeal cereal (not cooked) salt the water slightly...Then cook when required...Only eat the ones that open after boiling that is the safe way to be sure..Shellfish should not be stored in refrigerator in its raw state...Once cooked eat at once
If you refrigerated them properly after cooking, mussels that were cooked last night should be safe to eat today.
it is ok as long as it is cooked thoroughly. freshly cooked is preferred.
make sure its fully cooked
puffer fish eat horse mussels
If it has been properly harvested, prepared and cooked, it should be safe to eat.
