Absolutely NOT!. You will not make it past security before you even get on the airplane and you will find your self talking to not only security but to the police. If you are lucky you may even get a ride to the Police station. (and miss your flight.)
How do I know this. I used to train TSA agents. More than once we have had someone make this type of mistake. If you want to take an Airgun on a trip I suggest you declare it first with the airlines (Call them) then make sure it is unloaded and has no C02 bottle or pellets/BB in it. Follow the airline rules, it will have to go into the luggage, the airline may give you a sticker and paperwork for the suitcase that it goes in. It CAN NOT go in "carry on" luggage. It must go in the luggage hole on the aircraft.
Better yet DON'T take it. FED EX it on ahead.
