no. There is so much technology, that when they listen to the babies heartbeat, they would hear another one. And plus it would get so crowded in there that the doctor would know.
Actually, yes you can. My daughter in law gave birth to twins that they were not expecting. As the doctor explained it, the babies were perfectly aligned and had identical heartbeats. As for being crowded, they were less than 10 pounds combined, actually a little less than their dad's weight at birth. Surprise! Two for the price of one!
You don't know until you give birth. However, if you want to increase the chances of twins or triplets, buy the "fertility treatment", dance to kids music if you have a radio, watch the kids channel if you have a tv, and eat grapes which you can buy from the grocery store. Just eat the grapes whenever you are hungry and pregnant.

The only sure way of knowing you are pregnant with twins is by ultrasound. An ultrasound at 8 weeks would show if you were carrying a multiple pregnancy.
A doctor can tell you or when you give birth to them you would know. Fraternal twins is two separate eggs from the ovaries get fertilised.
I had a pet rat who, when we got her from the pet store, was already pregnant. We didn't know this until we had her for a couple days. She kept kidding bigger and bigger until about a week after we had her, she gave birth. Rats are pregnant for 28 days -occassionally they may have them a day or two early or later. So, if you know about when she got pregnant, it'll be around 28 days later.

I know of no birth defects associated with diet pill use, but know two things: 1) As soon as you discover you are pregnant, you should stop taking all over-the-counter medicines until you first talk with your doctor and get his okay. 2) No one who is pregnant should be taking diet pills, so don't continue.
Between the birth of the twins in 1585 and Shakespeare's mention in Greene's pamphlet in 1592, there are no records of Shakespeare's activities.
