Gay people are not kicked out of the army. The ban on gay people serving was overturned in 2011. In the past, they were banned because of misconceptions which have since been discarded.
Personally I believe gay separation in army is a bad thing. There-for i would not vote for it. But it ultimately comes down to what you believe in, either people can be who they want to be in the army, or they cant.
