Yes. After getting a positive test result when I was pregnant with my son, I took another test to show my husband's parents. I accidentally peed on the result window and the test came out negative. I don't know if it's always invalid, but it happened with me, so there you go :)
I've learned to just pee in a cup and dip the test in.
A positive result on a Clearblue pregnancy test indicates the presence of the hormone hCG. If there is no line in the control window, the test may be defective or invalid. It is recommended to retake the test with a new one to confirm the results.
NO!
Interpret the results as positive if you see a pinkish to purple line next to the letter T in the results window and you find a blue line next to the letter C in the results window. Two separate lines should appear to confirm you are pregnant. Find a negative result if a blue line appears next to the letter C and no line appears next to the letter T in the results window. If this result occurs, it is unlikely that you are pregnant.
A positive result on a pregnancy test could be affected by factors such as using an expired or faulty test, testing too early in the pregnancy when hormone levels are low, certain medications that interfere with hormone levels, or an evaporation line that may appear if the test is read after the recommended time window.
Home pregnancy test can be wrong but any mark in the result window, even if very faint, is positive for pregnancy. Retake the test...the best time to test is in the morning when your urine is concentrated.
Check out peeonastick.com Read the instructions on your home pregnancy test and do not look at results window after the suggested time has passed. For example, if it says read in 3 minutes then do so, but 1 minute after that and the results are no longer reliable.
if you have only 1 line after taking your home pregnancy test it mean that you are NOT pregnant, and if there are 2 lines on your home pregnancy test, then you are pregnant but should go to a docotor to confirm it.
Any line in the "result" window, anything at all, no matter how faint, can be considered a positive result. Early pregnancy produces low levels of HCG (the pregnancy hormone detectable in urine) and thus produce a barely-there line. Test again in a few days and the line will get darker and more visible. (Levels of HCG double every day in early pregnancy) So in short, it means your pregnant. If the control window has a line, the test is working properly. If the result window also has a line, even if it's almost invisible, it's a positive result.
I don't know same thing happened to me
Just go to the doctor for a proper test.
To ensure the best results: * Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest * Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results * Take the test no more than 1 day before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period, the percentage of accuracy is very low. * urinate for as long as possible on the foam-like strip * Check the results in the window frame of time suggested by the instructions of the pregnancy test. On rare occasions you can encounter a false positive due to improper testing, expired pregnancy tests, rare medical conditions such as certain types of cancer, evaporation lines, a recent pregnancy or a chemical pregnancy.
Perform the Quickvue pregnancy test as directed. Place at least three drops of urine on the test strip to achieve a result.Wait three minutes for result of test. The results can begin to show before the three-minute period. Readings taken after three minutes may not be accurate. For example, if your test is positive at three minutes and you leave the test sitting out, it may indicate a negative result after ten minutes. The reading at the three-minute mark is the correct reading.Interpret the results as positive if you see a pinkish to purple line next to the letter T in the results window and you find a blue line next to the letter C in the results window. Two separate lines should appear to confirm you are pregnant.Find a negative result if a blue line appears next to the letter C and no line appears next to the letter T in the results window. If this result occurs, it is unlikely that you are pregnant.Receive an inconclusive result if the blue control line does not appear next to the letter C. You should retake the test using a different test kit.
