You have to have a certain amount of fat in the body to produce hormones necessary to start your cycle, and that is why if you lose too much body fat your cycle will stop. It is not true the other way around.... My advice is if you have had an interruption in your cycle, and weight gain, take a prego test. Other things that could interfere with your cycle besides being pregnant is things like: stress, menopause, etc. No woman's cycle is always perfect, but if you take a test, and your not, go to your doctor to make sure nothing else is the culprit.
