The accuracy is very suspect and it isn't likely to make it that far. But it isn't impossible. And part of it depends upon your definition of rifle. If you mean something with a rifled barrel, certainly. If you mean something carried by a single person, probably not. If memory serves me correctly, the longest shots with any type of accuracy to date have been about half that distance.
I'm not quite sure about the 3006, but I know that the longest recorded kill shot with a .308 was at about one and a half miles, possibly more.
$150.00 to $685.00 Winchester made about 185,000 copies of this rifle and the same of a carbine, difference being length in barrel. The $685.00 value is only a rifle in mint condition still in box, never fired and all paperwork. No box and or paperwork or being fired you lose half the value. This is the cheapest Winchester built.
The M1918 Mauser T-Gewehr fired a 13.2x92mm cartridge. It was the world's first anti-tank rifle. In comparison, a .50 BMG cartridge is 12.7x99mm.A large gun. That fires a bullet about a half inch in diameter.
The VERY biggest guns are cannon- one type of which is called a howitzer. Cannon such as the German railway guns (so big they moved on railroad tracks) could fire a shell 75 miles. The cannon on a battleship (called rifles) can fire a shell that weighs more than a ton about 25 miles. For guns fired from the shoulder, the largest were likely some of the very large shotguns- one such was the 4 gauge shotgun, and fired about a half pound of birdshot. Some of the very large rifles were the express rifles. These were usually doubled barreled rifles used by hunters in Africa for very large game, such as elephants and rhinos. One such express rifle was the .600 Nitro Express. But the largest rifle fired from the shoulder was probably the 20mm antitank rifle from World War I. It weighed over 20 lbs, and fired a bullet just under one inch in diameter.
Accurately? About 100-150 yards. How far can the bullet travel? Fired at a 34 degree angle, about a mile and a half. No accuracy, just total possible travel.
The sound of a rifle being fired varies depending upon the caliber of the bullets, but in general, it is described as a crack, much like the sound you would hear if you snapped a stick in half.
5.5 miles is 11 half-miles.
There are 24 half-miles in 12 miles. This is computed by: 12 / .5 = 24 half-miles.
1,200 half-miles.
1,200 half-miles.
Half of four miles is two miles.
She wasn't fired. She left the show because of anorexia.
