It's not the speed of the pellet it's the size and the type of the pellet. Yes a .177 caliber pellet can kill a pig but it most likely would take several shots, depending on where you hit it. Also "Hunting or hollow point pellets" should be used. A head or heart shot is best.
I suggest At least a 25 caliber pellet should be used. If you can afford a a good hunting pellet rifle then I suggest a .25 cal Marauder, a 357 Rogue or a .50 cal Sam Yang. But these are expensive and have devistating power because they at PCP class rifles. (PreCharged Pneumatic) There are a few .25 cal springers or Nitro gas like the "Benjamin trail NP XL" that are a better choice than a .177 cal pellet rifle. .177 usually are not recommended for hunting anything larger than a rodent.
Rodents and small game.
Yes, small game and rodents.
You mean Air Rifle. Yes this is fine. Air rifles (Not AirSoft) usually fire between 500 FPS and 1200 FPS
1000+
It's rated at 580 FPS.
any air rifle that fires a .177 pellet over 600 FPS should be sufficient
A gun's velocity needed to kill a rabbit will depend on the type of gun and ammunition used. Typically, a velocity of around 800-1000 feet per second (fps) is considered sufficient to hunt rabbits effectively. It is essential to use the appropriate type of ammunition and aim accurately to ensure a quick and humane kill.
I doubt it.
300 fps or 320
It's rated at 660 FPS
This rifle is rated for 363 feet per second (FPS). That is slow in today's world where air rifles exceed 1000 FPS. If this rifle was in EXCELLENT condition and I do mean Excellent it would be worth $50. From 1969-75 Meyer & Grammelspacher of Germany made air rifles for Winchester.
I assume that you are asking about a PCP class rifle. It will kill just about anything you can hit. But I would stay away from Elephants and Bears. A head shot is preferred.
