That will depend on whether the choke tube is rated for steel shot or not.

Most ARE shot from full choke- or even Extra Full Choke.
I have a belgium 12 gauge browning shot gun with the serial #B67119. I am trying to find out what type or size choke it has
If it was made to shoot steel shot and has interchangeable chokes.
stupid nobody knows the answer to that.
We would use a modified or full choke, and #4 shot.
Only with cylinder and improved cylinder choke tubes.
depends on distance. um for 25 yrds id use a skeet choke and # shot or turkey w/ # 7 or 6.5 shot
50-100 or so
Yes, you can shoot a slug out of any choke except a turkey choke tube. Alot of people have a misconception that a slug will cause a choke to expand out and miss it up, but that is not true, I have shot slugs out of a Remington model 10 for the last 40+ years and it will still win a turkey at a turkey shoot.

They were made in .410 bore, 20, 16, 12 gauge, and may have had 32 and 28 gauge options, though they are rare if they exist. It should say on the barrel what gauge and choke it is.
