Are there modern day forms of slavery in America?

I believe that a form of modern day slavery can be compared to low minimum wages, current discrimination pratices, public aid, the forming of ghettos and projest housing, High cost for education and medical and health insurance. I believe that due to these types of systems, people are sort of forced to depend on others. There by giving them control over them. Lets not forget the correctional and law enforcement systems in place that are built to control and provide the majority of jobs for certain race of people and there towns, cities, communities etc. Drugs inport and export could also play a role in enslaving people. Sure you have a choice, but do you really. If the powers that be makes it difficulrt and hard to survive and live. People tend to result to survival strategies that other folks tend to use to control them. For example, I, not me personally, find it hard to find a job because I am not being taught the necessary skills needed to obtain the job. I still have to survive so I settle for something less. I become fustrated and take my anger out on society or whom ever or the streass becomes too overbearing. I find my self on welfare, drugs or incarcerated. I have nothing to live for and I am at the hands of one of the systems mentioned above. I feel less than a man and some one has control over me. They feed me (wellfare) they house me (jails) etc. Maybe I'm just fishing at straws but people are feeling less and less in control of their live and there for we have mor homeless, mentally ill and disabled people in the world. If a person can't find a need to live and or purpose in life then other people tend to tell them what to do and they develope into nothings, worthless and they stop fighting. I can go on and on but It's a fact that those in power tend to control the less fortunate there by enslaving them not more or less physically, as much as mentally. This is just my theory and it is base on facts. People may say that America is the land of the free. But what can you freely do, obtain etc.
