An electronic cigarette is much safer than a real cigarette. Electronic cigarettes are also called e cigs. E cigs have a heating element called an atomizer that heats up to turn a vegitable glycerin into a vapor. The only thing that goes into the lungs is vegitable glycerin, nicoteen, and of course water droplets. In a traditional cigarette the smoke that goes into the lungs has over 400 poisons in it. The smoke will coat the lungs and can cause lung disease and cancer. There are no poisons in e cigs. E cigs do allow one to get a dose of nicoteen that a smoker may crave. This is why e cigs can help a person stop smoking. I have smoked for over 25 yrs. I tried e cigs and haven't smoked a real cigarette in over a year. It has been proven that vegitable glycerin is safe for human consumption. Glycerin is used as a sweetner in some foods. Glycerin is also used in dog food and many different lotions and make-up products. So YES e cigs are much safer than real cigarettes. If you want to stop smoking...e cigs are your answer.
