All starting apps on your iPhone and all apps that you downloaded for free are free to use. Though, not all apps are not free from the beginning, all apps that you have downloaded are free for you to use as long as you want.

Many apps are entirely free, others will have in game purchases. For in- game purchases you`ll need to sign in to your apple account to buy it.

Other apps will be priced. When you browse through iTunes you will be able to view its price, and then you can download it (after you signed with your Apple ID) when you sync your iPod to your computer, the first time after your download, the app will immediately download.

Some applications cost money but some are freeIf you have an Internet connection on your iPhone you can go on You Tube for videos and songs , Although if your using iPod which is at the bottom right hand corner of your iPhone it costs money to buy songs but you can use iPod any were to listen to songs but with You Tube you can get a video and listen to songs for free! as long as you have a good Internet signal

umm.... okay. if you buy a free app, it is just plain free, and once it's downloaded, no fees are charged. if you actually purchase one that's like .99 or 1.99 or whatever the cost may be, once it is downloaded, it is a monthly fee. unless you delete it before the next month is uppp!!!!! :)

Some applications are free for download and other are not. Some companys make "Lite" versions of an application which is just a test version of the app to get individuals to buy if they like.

Apple does a great job in organizing the app store content in categories of free and pay.
