Actual genuine Winchester Rifles produced in the 1960's in the US became very poorly made firearms after 1964. When you opened the levers (actions) and shook them, they rattled like a loose rock in a tin can. The levers sometimes wouldn't even lock securely back into place (we're talking BRAND NEW rifles!). They were not built to close tolerences and were assembled in a sloppy manner. Sales dropped...and the business went over-seas. Just like cars...quality dropped...and products were built BETTER over seas.
