Try Old Western Scrounger
Which a single shot mississippi, split breach, vest, double derringer (model 95), caliber, variation? I'm suspecting your talking a double derringer 41 rimfire but that's likely not even a serial but a batch number. There's over a dozen variations with a HUGE range in value and even that's greatly dependent on condition.
41 or 42 ? about 350 $
Original flint or purcussion pistols by Henry Deringer could be anywhere from 28 to 50 caliber. Remington Arms made several different "Derringer" pistols (note the difference in spelling) ranging from 17 to 41 caliber. The most widely recognized Remington derringer is the over/under double barrelled Elliot's patent chambered for 41 rimfire cartridges. Modern copies of these are readily available today in 22, 38, and 45 caliber. Dozens (hundreds?) of other small, easily concealed, pistols and revolvers have also been called Deringer/Derringer/Daringer, etc, by most people even if not by their manufacturer.
The Philadelphia Derringer typically uses .41 caliber rounds. However, it's essential to check the specific model, as variations may exist. Always ensure you're using the correct ammunition type for safety and optimal performance. If in doubt, consult the manufacturer's guidelines or a knowledgeable gunsmith.
Depedns on what the barrel is marked as to caliber. Could be rim or centerfire.
It was a .41 caliber cap and ball pocket pistol marked Derringer and is on display at the Ford's Theater National Historic Site in Washington, DC.
Yes, you can shoot .41 Magnum ammunition in a .44 Magnum firearm, but it's not advisable. The .41 Magnum is smaller in diameter than the .44 Magnum, which could lead to improper seating and potentially dangerous situations. Additionally, using the incorrect caliber can cause damage to the firearm and increase the risk of misfires or malfunctions. Always use the correct caliber ammunition specified for your firearm.
Depends on box condition, who made the ammunition, and when the ammunition was made. Contact me for further information. Navy Arms made the most recent run of this ammunition in the 1980's and it sells for $40-$50 a box of 50 rounds.

Normally I could give a general value based on the condition but in this case it also is dependent on which type, model, and variation and can vary WILDLY. The exact writing and in what location / lines on the barrel will identify this.
No sn data availabe.
Remington did not make a 44 cal double barrel pistol. The did however make a 41 cal (rimfire) the double derringer. (model 95) There's 3 type's, 5 models, and at least 15 variations some of which are quite valuable.
