Remington NEVER made a 45 cal derringer, only 41 rimfire. Chrome wasn't invented until much later and Nickel not until late 1860's and didn't hit Remington's until the early 1870's.

There are over 10 variations/types/models of the Model 95 (Double Derringer) not only is it greatly determined by condition, condition, and condition. There can be SIGNIFICANT value differences based on which type/model/variation.

So if it's actually be Chromed it's after market and pretty much destroys any real value unless it's an extremely rare model that's still worth stripping (doubtful) it's it's actually a 45 take it to a machine shop and have it destroyed. There's absolutely no way that this could be fired safely if it's of original composition.

So verify the caliber and attempt to really figure out what model/type/variation you have, I can help with that but need details. Also again value is determined by original condition, condition, and condition. Remington did not manufacture derringers in 45 caliber - 41 was as large as they got. I suggest a professional appraisal because the value could be in the thousands of dollars, depending on condition.

What is the value of a 1911 Remington Rand pistol?

Remington Rand 1911 value <><><> The value of ANY firearm is based on exact make and model, and condition. If you have a military issue 1911A1 pistol made by Remington Rand, the values can be quite high- but again, based on condition of the gun, matching magazine, etc. An original in excellent condition could have a value measured in thousands of dollars- one that has been chrome plated at the local bumper shop is worth about $200. You will REALLY need a hands-on appraisal from someone that knows collectible 1911s. A check of completed auctions for Remington Rand 45 pistols shows sales ranging from about $950-$100 for pistols in "Good" condition, up to $2,400 for a pistol is 98% new condition ("Excellent" grading) One in "Fair" condition may sell for $650-$750.
