β 8y agoIf an adaptation were non-inheritable it could not cause the population to evolve because it would not be part of the populations gene pool.

β 8y agoAn adaptation must be inheritable in order to be passed down from one generation to the next. If an adaptation is not inheritable, it will not be maintained in the population over time through natural selection, and therefore will not lead to evolution. Inheritability ensures that the adaptive trait can increase in frequency within a population over generations.
No, it's exactly the other way around: natural selection causes adaptation.
The shrimp population will increase which will cause an increase in the squid population.
High concentrations of ethanol can cause the yeast population to enter the death phase by disrupting cellular functions and metabolic processes, ultimately leading to cell death.
Increases in prey population or availability, favorable environmental conditions, and reduced competition from other predators are most likely to cause increases in a predator population.
Stimuli are things in the environment that cause change. A reaction to a change in the environment is a reaction to a stimulus.
The underlying cause of all porphyrias is a defective enzyme important to the heme biosynthesis pathway. Porphyrias are inheritable conditions.
Adaptation happens when the animal can not survive in the area or place they are in.
In the Pokemon games, certain stones cause Pokemon to evolve when held. The Sun Stone will cause Sunkern to evolve into Sunflora, Gloom to evolve into Bellossom, Cottonee to evolve into Whimsicott, Petilil to evolve into Liligant, and Helioptile to evolve into Heliolisk.
Natural selection.

Nothing will evolve independantly something in the enviroment will cause them to either evolve or become extinct
yes and no
In order to evolve Happiny, you need to give it an Oval Stone and then level it up during the day and that will cause it to evolve into Chansey.
i don't know 'cause i don't have one, but if you do have one you can check the dex entry and it will tell you how to evolve it.
natural selection
Cause-de-Clérans's population is 319.
Yeah, actually. It doesn't even have to be an adaptation. Sometimes a population of organisms may just change their minds and start acting differently. This'll shed some light on the issue:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympatric_speciation
