What was the name of the asteroid that passed earths orbit recently in February 2013?

The asteroid does not have a name, but has the designation 2012 DA14

When an asteroid is burning up in earths atmosphere it is called what?

Which planets surface gravity is 38 percent that of earths?

Mercury has a surface gravity that is about 38% that of Earth's. This means that you would weigh less on Mercury compared to Earth due to its weaker gravitational pull.

How much stronger is the earths gravity than the moons gravity?

The moon's gravity is about 1/6th of Earth's.

What pushes and pulles on earths crust?

Gravity.

A meteor is an asteroid that has been captured by a planet's or a moon's gravity and has been pulled away from the sun's gravity true or false?

False. A meteor is a small rocky or metallic body that enters a planet's atmosphere and burns up, creating a streak of light in the sky. It comes from a meteoroid, which is a smaller fragment of an asteroid or comet that has entered the Earth's atmosphere.

What percent of earths gravity does sun have?

The Sun's gravity is about 28 times stronger than Earth's gravity at the surface of the Earth. However, because the Sun is much farther away than Earth's own radius, its gravitational influence on Earth is significantly weaker compared to Earth's own gravitational pull.
