at the Silver Dollar fairgrounds / at CSUC nettleman stadium / at the Oroville Dam

This year, 2009, there are no fireworks at the Oroville Dam, the CSUS fireworks were shown last night, but not tonight. The only ones in Chico tonight (the 4th) are at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds, and there are some in Willows and Biggs.

The Fourth of July fireworks in Chico are typically held at the CSU Chico Stadium or the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds. Be sure to check with local event organizers for the most up-to-date information on the location of the fireworks display.

Butte's official city fireworks are shot off the "M" hill above Montana Tech, usually about 10:30.

NOTE: The fireworks show is on JULY 3, not July 4. I'm not sure I've ever seen an official reason for this, but July 3 is the big night for fireworks in Butte -- either in your own yard or from off the M.
