the immediate responses were to get stranded people out of destructed and inhumane conditions, fires would have to be put out and many people had to be taken to any medical help available. the search for missing people went on for 10 days and then they lost any remaining hope. the rubble had to be cleared up as soon as possible and houses needed to be rebuilt, on the other hand the country is not wealthy at all so this took time and help of other countries.

when the earthquake struck peoples immediate was to get themselves and their family to a secure shelter and did not have time to grab belongings, when families returned to their homes for any supplies or belongings they found that many personal items were destroyed, this was no surprise. many were killed in this devastating event and many were left homeless.

hope this helps you!

Immediate responses to the Haiti earthquake in 2010 included search and rescue efforts by international teams, medical assistance provided by aid organizations, and the establishment of temporary shelters for displaced individuals. Humanitarian aid and relief supplies were also sent to the affected areas.
